Hello Baby Luca!

But first, that red hair!! I can’t handle it. This sweet boy was a dream to photograph with his calm demeanor and adorable smiles. His older sister was nothing short of amazing in front of my camera too! The pride of being “big sis” radiated from her. I loved her tender kisses on baby brother’s forehead and the way she looked at him like he belongs to her. This is obviously the start of an amazing sibling bond! Stephanie and Tyson are incredibly blessed with these two kiddos! Congratulations Myers family!

Amelia’s Ballet Class

Walking into the dance studio I was flooded with memories. Almost 20 years ago I had stepped into the same studio and took my very first dance class. It’s definitely a fond memory because dance was what I dedicated my life to for many years. Being able to step into Amelia’s ballet class and capture rond de jambe, tendu, battement, the elegance and grace of it all filled my heart with joy. Amelia is the daughter of my sweet friend Heather Bennett, who is a phenomenal photographer. I was so excited when she asked me to take lifestyle photos of Amelia’s class! From experience, I know these are images they will want to remember of such a fun time in Amelia’s life!

Shaw Maternity Session

Nicholas Park is one of my favorite session locations, (thanks Brenna Heater Photography for sharing this gem with me). It looks different all throughout the year and for a simple field with some trees it yields gorgeous images. I can’t tell you how many people ask for green grass and lush trees for their session backdrop. Unfortunately, Arizona makes it hard to find such terrain, but not for Derek and Aubree at their maternity session. I am still drooling over these sweet photos of them as they await baby Drake. Aubree is ALL belly and clearly glowing, what a beautiful momma. Congratulations you guys!

The McDonald Family

A lot of you have heard of Adopted Coffee and if you haven’t you NEED to. It’s pretty much the most delicious coffee in Downtown Phoenix and it funds the McDonald family’s newest adoption. This little guy might be the most chill baby ever. I don’t think he cried the whole time I was there! And his big sister was beaming with pride for him. My heart melted so many times during this session, I’d be hard pressed to pick a favorite shot. Luckily, I don’t have to and neither do they! It is one of the most fulfilling experiences to capture meaningful moments for people they will cherish forever. Thanks McDonalds for letting me spend the Saturday in your awesome home and play with your adorable family.

Tenley’s 5th Birthday!

What a bright and beautiful day to celebrate this sweet little girl’s 5th birthday. Her energy and smile were contagious! I mean, what 5 year old isn’t excited about a bounce house/slide set up in their backyard?! I loved watching her prance around with friends and family in true birthday girl style. Here are a few photos I got from the party.
